Here's an opportunity to make your own 150mm square journal. This book, with its paper covered boards and simple but elegant binding, is my most popular and versatile hand bound book.
basic materials and tools will be supplied by me at a cost of $10 per person.
A list of student requirements will be supplied in advance of the class.

Requirement List

You will need: All your usual tools of the trade.
Be sure to include:
Sharp pencil, good ruler (in mm), a set square (if you have one), scissors,
an old table knife (smooth blade), craft knife (snap blade) a cutting mat,
a sewing needle (I use size 18 or 20 Tapestry needles),
And: a wiping cloth, hand towel, shiny junk mail for messy gluing.
a fat pasting brush, and a container for paste
Also, if you happen to have them: awl, bone folder, cradle, (bookbinding things)

I will provide all the materials for the books : boards, cover papers, paper for pages, thread, bookbinders glue, etc.
You can bring along any of your own papers and stuff that you want to include in the books as well.
I also provide the essential equipment and notes. There will be a charge of $10 per person to cover all this.
